Movie Magic: Experience Universal Studios Theme Parks

Unleash Your Inner Adventurer! Discover Thrilling Rides and Immersive Attractions at Universal Studios

The theme park division of NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast, is known as Universal Destinations & Experiences (previously Universal Parks & Resorts) or simply Universal Theme Parks. The firm, with headquarters in Orlando, Florida, manages Universal Studios and other theme parks and resorts all over the world.

Popular culture products (movies, T.V. shows, books, comics, video games, music, etc.) from NBCUniversal and other firms have inspired many of the rides, shows, and other attractions at all of Universal Parks & Resorts theme parks.

In the 1910s, it opened as a travelling show at the Universal Studios Lot in Universal City, California, near Los Angeles. By 1964, it had become the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, where visitors could see how movies and T.V. shows were made by Universal Pictures and occasionally by other studios. Because of the success of Universal Studios Hollywood, the company expanded to construct similar attractions in Florida and other states.

The Universal Studios theme park business was the third largest in the world in 2017, with an estimated 49,458,000 visitors. Cedar Fair, Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, Six Flags, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Herschend Family Entertainment, Parques Reunidos/Palace Entertainment, and Merlin Entertainment are among its chief competitors.

Deutsche Bank issued a study in August 2020 stating that in the first months after both resorts reopened amid the worldwide COVID-19 epidemic, Universal Orlando topped Walt Disney World in overall attendance. According to the research, this occurred when both Universal and Walt Disney World reopened their parks in 2020 with capacity adjustments.

How many theme parks does Universal Studios have?

This is the first question everyone has. There are three great theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort, with thrilling attractions and fun for guests of all ages. Universal’s Islands of Adventure, with its immersive areas and thrilling rides, Universal’s Volcano Bay, a water theme park with adrenaline slides and soothing experiences, and Universal Studios Florida, with its movie and television-themed attractions, are all included in this group.

In addition to these amazing theme parks, Universal Orlando also features world-class lodging, eating, and retail venues, guaranteeing that every member of the family will have a fantastic day. We have found that Universal Studios Orlando has the finest thrill coasters in all of Orlando, making it the ideal vacation spot for adventure seekers and, of course, Harry Potter fans.

Universal Studios Hollywood

In addition to being an exciting theme park, the studio lot at Universal Studios Hollywood also produces movies and television shows. Visitors to Universal Studios may take tours of the studio and see where some of their favorite films and T.V. series were filmed.

There are several 3-D shows and attractions in the park that are inspired by the films “Jurassic Park” and “The Mummy.” Just beyond the gates of Universal Studios are City Walk, an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. Buying tickets online is recommended because of the many discounts and specials that can only be found on the website.

Universal Studios Florida

The Universal Orlando Resort includes the Orlando theme park Universal Studios Florida. There are two theme parks and several restaurants and stores in the resort’s downtown, which is named Universal City Walk.

You’ll find some of the same rides at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando (including the “The Mummy”-themed “Revenge of the Mummy” roller coaster and the “Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit”), but there are also plenty of unique offerings at each park.

There are several roller coasters, 3-D shows, and family-friendly rides based on popular movies, such as an “E.T.” adventure ride, a “Shrek” roller coaster, a “Jurassic World” velocicoaster, a “Transformers” roller coaster, and a “Men in Black” alien invasion ride.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Universal Studios Florida features a Hogwarts Express ride through Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure through the Village of Magical Creatures, and an Escape from Gringotts ride.

Islands of Adventure

Islands of Adventure is the name of the second theme park that Universal Studios has to offer. When it comes to amusement parks, thrill-seekers always choose Islands of Adventure. The park is divided into different “islands,” each of which features its own collection of extreme rides, a unique cast of characters, and impressive theming.

This park is home to two of Universal’s newest attractions: Hagrid’s Magical Creatures, Motorbike Adventure (opened in June 2021), and VelociCoaster (launched in June 2021).

In order to make the most of their day at Universal Studios Florida, many groups choose park-to-park passes. The parks are adjacent to one another, linked by CityWalk and the Hogwarts Express (remember, you need a park-to-park ticket to take the Hogwarts Express). We think it’s best to visit both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Volcano Bay

The newest of Universal Studios’ three parks launched in 2017, and it’s an amazing water park with a unique vibe. The expansive Volcano Bay, which spans 28 acres, is a lush, tropical paradise modeled after the Pacific Islands.

This is not your typical water park, as shown by the massive smoldering volcano at its center. Volcano Bay offers the typical Universal Parks attractions like water slides, rafting rides, lazy rivers, and splash pads for the kids, but it also has a lot more to offer.

This park is great for people of all ages because of its combination of cutting-edge features (like the TapuTapu line reservation system) and fancy amenities (including dozens of Cabanas to rent). Don’t ignore this attraction while counting the number of parks at Universal Studio Orlando.

Among the several Universal Studios parks in Orlando, Florida, Volcano Bay is an absolute must-see. We propose that you and your family visit all three of Universal’s parks, with the exception of Universal Orlando in the dead of winter.
