The 2023 Dynamic Netball World Cup will be the sixteenth stage of the biggest international netball competition, held every four years. The competition will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Center in South Africa from Friday, July 28 to Sunday, August 6. This will be the first time the event is held in Africa.

History of the netball world cup
The World Cup of FIFA was first held in 1930 when the world football’s governing body, FIFA, decided to organize an international men’s football championship, an idea which was put into practice in the era of FIFA President Jules Rimet. The first contest, held in 1930, was a final of only 13 teams invited by the organization.
Since then, the World Cup has seen continuous expansion and reform of the competition system. There are currently 48 teams participating in the final. Before that, there was a two-year qualifying competition including more 200 teams from around the world.

The number and format of teams participating in each final have changed significantly more the years. In most tournaments, the tournament consists of a spherical-robin organization degree accompanied by means of a single removal stage.
In Netball, The qualifying criteria for the Round of 16 are as follows:
- Best score in the group stage
- Biggest goal difference in three group matches
- Most goals scored in three group matches
- If teams maintain a tie based on these criteria, a small group will be formed from those teams and those groups will be ranked as follows:
- Most points scored in games against other teams in a draw
- Maximum goal difference vs draws with other teams
- Most goals were scored in games against other teams in a draw
- If the teams are still tied after all these criteria, FIFA will proceed with the draw
- The draw for the teams to be drawn takes place one hour after the last match of the group stage at the stadium where the league match was played. The lottery draw is similar in style and form to the World Cup draw; a ball is drawn from a pot with the names of each tied team written on it.
The host city and venue were announced by the International Netball Federation (INF)
The host town and venue were announced by the International Netball Federation (INF) on March 8, 2019, just months before the 2019 edition was due to take place in Liverpool, England. Cape Town’s bid, backed by the South African government and the Western Cape Province, was selected by the INF ahead of the bid from Auckland, New Zealand.
The INF said Cape Town’s bid would have “a greater impact on the development of netball around the world”, citing the South African government’s commitment to invest heavily in the preparation and development of the sport as it approaches. the tournament

In August 2022, the tournament mascot will be unveiled after open play. Designed by 11-year-old Violet Cassidy from Manchester, England; the mascot is an anthropomorphic mongoose named Letsasi, which means “sun”.

Sixteen teams will compete for the title in 2022. Six teams automatically advance the hosts and the top five (other) teams in the World Netball Rankings. The remaining ten spots are taken up by five regional tournaments, with two teams advancing from each region.
