Al Bidda Park is home to a wide variety of plants. The park’s vegetation has been carefully selected to offer a wide variety of colors, scents, textures, and shapes to enjoy the attractions all year round. Although there are more formal areas within the park, much of the planting is designed in a naturalistic style. With over 514,000 square feet of lawn and 274,500 square feet of planting space in the park, there’s always something interesting to find.
A key theme was the use of plants that are better adapted to Qatar‘s climatic conditions. This is also excellent for sustainability and creates a landscape that does not feel out of place. These plants are also always excellent for local wildlife such as native butterflies and birds.
The park’s landscape is still new, so regular visitors will find it changes weekly as the trees and plants take hold. To protect the landscape, please do not walk on the plants or pick the flowers. Trampling and other disturbances damage plants and their roots.
2. Nature of Al Bidda Park
Wadi, the northernmost part of the park, is a unique valley that is home to wildlife such as insects, reptiles, and birds. When the rains continue, the wadis turn green with native plants adapted to harsh conditions. For early risers, this is also the perfect place to watch the sunrise over the West Bay skyscrapers. Please do not enter the wadi itself as this area is a protected area and historical site.

1. The Arched Monument
This monument is a well-known and popular landmark of Doha. This place, which dates back to what was once Al Bidda Park, is a great spot for selfies and sunset photos.
2. The bridge
In July 2018, the artistic and creative completion of the steel bridge structure connecting Wadi Al Seir and Almaira Park. An iconic structure due to its design and purpose, the bridge is the perfect vantage point to observe Doha’s sparkling skyline and spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

The site is one of the few exposed natural stone outcrops in Doha and was a strategic location for a watchtower. The restored watchtowers are a reminder of Qatar’s rich history.

4. Sports Activities
The ultimate sports and games venue, Al Bidda offers a full range of activities and games. With its 12 courts for games and sports like basketball, volleyball, tennis, and soccer, the park is a destination where you can complete any task to enhance your fitness.

5. Qatar Al Bidda Park Underground Parking
Al Bidda has an underground car park, so visitors can easily access the park by car. There is a huge parking lot that can accommodate 6,000 cars, so many visitors can visit at once. There are 3 parking lots
- Almira Zone has been seen from Al Cornish North and Al Cornish South
- Al Biddah Zones at Al Biddah West and Al Biddah South
- Wadi Al Seir Zone from Wadi Al Seir North and Wadi Al Seir South
The parking lot is open from 4 AM to midnight daily and until 2 AM on weekends.

This park is one of the best places in Doha to have a BBQ with your family. At Arvidda Park in Doha, facilities with 41 barbecue areas are offered in three different neighborhoods. Al Bidda Park was formerly Al Rumailah Park, which closed for renovations in 2014. Then, on February 13, 2018, the park opened with ample space and improved facilities for the Qatar National Athletic Meet.
