Kuwait National Museum

The National Museum in Kuwait was founded in 1983 to make Kuwaiti heritage highlight via exhibitions about Kuwaiti life and societies throughout history. This museum is situated close to the National Assembly, Michel Ecochard, a French architect, designed the building of the museum. The museum has five buildings that are designed like a vernacular Arab mudhouse and provide great collections of animal fossils, artifacts that are discovered on Failika Island, bronze coins which are from the Bronze times and the Hellenistic period, and many samples of regular life in Kuwait. The Mirror House is located in Qadsiya, Kuwait. Initially, it was the house of Khalifa Qattan and his wife, Lidia Qattan, the two artists in Kuwait, and today some people know this place as the Khalifa & Lidia Qattan Art Museum. For 40 years, they renovated their home and made it a mirrored artistic masterpiece. they started their mission to make the home an amazing masterpiece in 1966. This artistic couple opened the doors of their home to the public in 2006 and allow visitors to have a personal tour of the property. 70 tons of mirrored mosaics were used to design this place.

Al-Qurain Martyrs’ Museum

The Museum of Al-Qurain Martyrs is situated in three neighboring villas. In 1991, 19 young Kuwaiti men who were part of a resistance group prepared and armed themselves and were providing a strike against the invading Iraqi army. Meanwhile, an Iraqi patrol unit was in the region, and a ten-hour battle happened. The Al-Qurain Martyrs museum describes this story and shows some pictures of that event to its visitors.

Dickson House Museum Kuwait City

In March of 1937, Freya Stark, an Anglo-Italian researcher, had spent most of her time in this house during her travel to Kuwait.
