Typically, the coldest month in Qatar is January, temperatures reduce to 21.7 degrees Celsius during the day and 12.8 degrees Celsius during the night. But in summer temperatures increase around 41.5 degrees Celsius.

To be expected, in this country sunshine is year-round. From May until August, the country experiences 14 hours of daylight, and it is around 10 hours in winter.


Dew point determines the humidity comfort level. Lower dew points feel drier and higher dew points feel more humid.

Temperature varies significantly between night and day but the dew point changes more slowly, therefore, when the temperature drops at night, the humidity does not fall. In fact, a muggy day ends up with a muggy night.

March and July are respectively the months with the most rain and the month with the least rain in Doha. July is often considered the hottest month in Qatar. From June to October, rain is extremely rare and they are the dry seasons.

If you like warmer temperatures, November and March are ideal with temperatures ranging from 75°F to 84°F. But from December to February, the average highs are between 72°F and 75°F.

What to pack for travelling to Qatar?

For staying cool in the heat, one should consider being in a hot country like Qatar is carrying light clothes which are made from natural fabric means cotton or linen as these clothes are both breathable and protects you from the heat waves.

If you are traveling in a cold season, a sweater or a jacket for the evening and a scarf for the wind are essential items in winter. If you plan to have a camping trip in January or March, it is essential to bring an extra layer of clothing for the night.

Women should avoid wearing short and tight clothes in Qatar. In an Arab country, both men and women are required to dress modestly and respect the values of Islamic culture.
