Capacity of Burj Khalifa: A City in the Sky

How Many People Can Stay in Burj Khalifa?

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the world’s tallest building, in 829.8 meters (2,722 feet). It was known as the Burj Dubai before it opened in 2010. The building took over the title from Taipei 101 in 2009. It was built from 2004 to 2009 using strong concrete and steel from an old German building. In 2010, it opened as a part of a big area known as Downtown Dubai.

The way Burj Khalifa was built

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is more than just a pretty face. It’s designed like a desert flower named Hymenocallis or Spider Lily. Just like this flower, the Burj Khalifa is elegant and balanced. As it goes higher, its ‘wings’ or ‘petals’ change shape to protect it from wind and weather.

Despite Dubai’s issues with pollution from fast growth, it’s now focusing on eco-friendly buildings, with the Burj Khalifa leading the charge. The tower is covered in solar panels that warm up tons of water every day for everyone’s use. It even gathers extra water from air conditioning condensation for use on the building’s greenery and plants.
